Advising Hippo Manager on real-world veterinary practice work-flows and providing dedicated coaching resources to practice partners. Chris Henning has worked veterinary staff member for more than 3 decades and brings her knowledge and experience to the table as a valued member of the Customer Success Team at Hippo Manager.
Chris has worked in the veterinary industry for nearly 10 years. She has held positions in numerous hospital clinic roles, including Veterinary Assistant, Client Service Coordinator, Practice Manager and Field Director. Her experience includes financial and personnel management of single and multi-unit hospital locations, and has worked in both corporate and privately-owned hospital settings. Chris launched her veterinary career with Banfield Pet Hospital, where she worked for several years under the GMP Charter Group. In addition to serving in a functional role, she participated in numerous leadership and developmental programs within that group, as well as developed and led leadership and training sessions for other emerging leaders and associates.
Some of her key accomplishments have been achieving top hospital metric goals while Practice Manager, managing a portfolio of up to 21 hospitals, developing associates into leaders for other hospitals, and national recognition for top associate engagement during her time with Banfield Pet Hospital. After Banfield, Chris worked for LegacyVet, a company that worked very closely with hospitals and team members to assist them through the change of hospital ownership.
As a Hospital Coach, she used change management, team building, personal/professional development, and coaching techniques to help veterinarians, owners, practice managers, and staff members cope and thrive through the many changes associated with ownership change, all while maintaining a high quality of veterinary care for patients and clients.
Chris has a Bachelors of Science in Marine Biology and a Minor in Music from Ohio University. She lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband Ben, two daughters, and their dogs – Coda, a Siberian Husky, and Sonata, a Golden Retriever.
